About Us

Together my nephew & I we were born in the city of Marrakesh. Our family is a mixed between Bedouin & Amazegh (Berber), I was well established in the rug business and I had the passion of collecting antiques since a youth age. Although no one shared with me this passion in the family, destiny was able to let me sink in the world of Amazegh rugs in a way that made me enhance this passion to my nephew, and by working in the Berber rug business, it will inevitable, that we will pass this passion to next generations to let that business and legacy continue it way, which exists since 1987.

I start my own business in the late 80s as collector of antique piece from all kind of old civilizations, and I always was fascinated by the civilization of the Berber, about their culture, clothing, jewelry and rugs. Rugs have been an essential part of our lives. Jumping from rug pile to rug pile in the house, sitting and playing on the rugs in our kid’s room and closely listening to stories about their origin, and my grandmother and her rug that she was weaving with love and passion, the fascinating stories she was telling us about the life of Amazegh nomads, the meaning of the rug’s patterns and designs. All of this and many more Imazighen tales accompanied us our whole life.

Since time, society, needs and trends have changed since 1987 we decided on starting our brand with carefully handpicked rugs that match our taste. We truly believe that handmade rugs deserve the respect of our generation, and if we do not discuss the future of this product, its heritage, tradition and uniqueness will slowly disappear. It is our deepest wish and true vision to bring these Imazighen closer to the customer by dusting off the aesthetic clichés of “grandmothers’ Berber rug”.
